  Extremely wonderful experience. The staff were very attentive, friendly and welcoming and the meals were superb. The complimentary cake slice for son's birthday was a very pleasant unexpected surprise as was the lighted candle and decorated plate. Loved the open kitchen. Thank you to everyone for a very memorable evening.

  Nice atmosphere and modern decor, you can also see the kitchen from your table--very nice touch. The wood-spit-smoked duck (or was it chicken?) looked delicious!, but we didn't order it.

  Girlfriend booked this fabulous restaurant for my birthday. The service was absolutely amazing, they asked for the occasion upon booking to prepare a small happy bday dish, the staff are always aware of our table and constantly offered to service. The cocktails were professionally made. Steaks were juicy but a little hard to chew. Sides were perfect.

  Every aspect of the restaurant was tremendous --ironically it was the steak which wasn't as good as the other aspects.

  Grass-fed scotch fillet was tender and flavorful, but quite thin. My scotch should have had more warmth and juices in the center (asked for med-rare but got closer to rare). Rib-eye on the bone was juicier and better. I would go for one of the thicker cuts next time (like ribeye), as scotch is really thin.

  By far the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. Great atmosphere. And not to mention the food - everything from entreé to dessert was absolutely delicious. I’m definitely coming back here again.

  Very dissaponting! This was our second time eating at Black and I can assure you it will be our last. Firstly their serivce was absolutely terrible. They seated us between 2 large groups and there were 6 empty tables along the window. When we asked to move we were told that they were “booked” however they remained empty the entire night. To finish it off they messed our order up and served my husband the wrong steak. Black take some constructive feedback and invest some time in training your staff. Very dissaponting and a complete waste of time and money. Don’t even bother going there!

  Oyster entree was fresh and the dressing --balsamic-- was beautiful. Highly recommend the oysters! The salad was extremely fresh and crunchy, really nice!
