  Today was the first time I've ever been disappointed with Din Tai Fung (I eat at Central Park a lot!). Service with a dismissive frown and precooked chicken served in a plastic dish. Looks like convenience store food, not restaurant food.:(

  I like all kinds of dumplings which they served, but I am not sure about the lady who takes order, I can’t distinguish she is rude or she doesn’t know English very well.

  It's an excellent food court dining option - better than 99% of the choices in a similar setting. However, it's about the worst Din Tai Fung outlet I ever experienced - food is nowhere the quality of the original in Taipei or Michelin starred one in HK. The fast serve/food court format took away another part Din Tai Fung's strength - incredibly attentive service.

  The good point about this place is that it appears to be very clean. The transparency of the shop window gives you a reassuring view of the hygienic food preparation process. You will be disappointed that it is not very Asian, since you will leave the place feeling hungry. When your order $13-15 of noodle or rice, the portion is so unusually small. There were only three thin slices of beef in the beef noodle. If I were to replicate the same dish at home (50g beef, noodle, and broth), it would cost less than $2.50. Asian dishes usually are bursting with flavours, Din Tai Fung has consistently fell short of expectation.
